A 35-year-old Freeport bakery owner was held up yesterday and robbed at gunpoint. The incident occurred shortly after midday at her San Francisco Lane Settlement home, which also houses her businessplace. According to Usha Ramlogan, who spoke to CrimeWatch host Ian Alleyne shortly after the incident, the gunman ambushed her just outside the bakery and hit her a gun butt to the head.

He then demanded that she hand over cash and other valuable items, including cellphones. Ramlogan said she was robbed of over $20,000 in cash and valuables. Officers from the Freeport Police Station are investigating.
