A 52-year-old man whom police have been searching for was shot in Moruga yesterday. Police said Clifford Riley, 52, of Laloon Village, was standing in a yard where he was having an argument with two men. One of the men pulled out a gun and shot him several times before they both ran off. Residents contacted the police and ambulance, and he was taken to the San Fernando General Hospital where he was warded in a critical condition.
No one has been arrested for the shooting as police continue to search for the men. Police said Riley he will be arrested, if he recovers, and will be brought before the court as he has several outstanding warrants.
