Police are investigation three murders, including a decapitation, which occurred between Saturday night and yesterday morning. The head of a man was found by a passerby at the Santa Rosa race track, Carapo, and his body some 100 metres away in bushes at around 6 am yesterday.
Also in Carapo, police said Ishmael Lewis, 41, was at his George Clarke Road home with a man and a woman, when they heard a knock at the door and someone shouting, “Police!” When Lewis opened the door he was killed. This incident happened at around 10.30 on Saturday night. Police said they have no motive for the killing.
A few hours later at Malick, Barataria, a 28-year-old man was shot dead. Police said Dale Augustus was killed by two masked gunmen who entered his Seventh Avenue home at around 4 am yesterday. A woman who was in the house at the time alerted neighbours who contacted the police. The murder toll is now at 304.
